In case you are getting the Access Bank Transaction Error, such as transaction not permitted or temporary Pin Limit exceeded, then there is the solution for you. Many customers of Access Bank have been experiencing this kind of issue when trying to make fund transfers with their Access bank mobile app. Note that this error normally comes up whenever they are about to confirm a transfer to a beneficiary.
Indeed, this error message can be frustrating. However, the customers that usually face such challenge are people that created a new account through the bank. I advise you to learn from this post in case you are facing the same issue.
Temporary Pin Limit Exceeded or Transaction Not permitted
Do you know the reason this error come up? This error message comes up mostly for people who opened a new account with Access Bank Nigeria. But note that the temporary pin only works without your ATM debit card. So after your new Access bank account is created, you will be asked to create an account with your Access bank mobile app.
Whenever you are creating the account, there will be two options given to you which are a Debit card and without a debit card. So it’s your choice to now choose whether you want to make use of your debit card in creating the account or you are creating the account without a debit card. However, after you have successfully created the account, you will be asked to create a transaction pin.
But in case you created the account without a debit card, then the transaction pin you created will be known as a Temporary Pin. Note that this pin can only work for a short period of time till there is a request for an ATM debit card.
Whenever you face this error issue, it simply means you should go to any Access bank branch and request a Card. After you have an ATM card, just follow the steps below to update your profile.
First login to your Access Bank Mobile App
Find the three Lines at the Top Left screen and click on it
Search for the profile management in the menu and click on Reset PIN
They will request your card details, just enter your Debit Card details correctly and click on validate
After you are done with that, you can now start sending funds to family and friends.
Here is another solution if you have entered your PIN incorrectly 3 times and have blocked it.
In case you have inputted the wrong PIN 3 times at a run, your card will be blocked immediately and will also stop anybody from using it just to secure your card. So for you to unblock your card, just follow these steps below:
- Put your debit card into the ATM machine
- Input the correct PIN
- Then you should unblock your PIN by following the instructions you see on the screen
One of the best things to do is to confirm you have the correct PIN. So you can still get your PIN through SMS to your phone.
Unblock via Website:
Just log into your account and then click on the welcome icon button you see on the top right of the page. Then you will see PIN retrieval, just click on it and follow the prompts. After that, your PIN will be sent to you via SMS.
Unblock via App:
Just go to MyCard Tab on the app, you will see the Get PIN button, just click on it and follow the prompts. After that, your PIN will be sent to you via SMS.
